Peel (day 2)

Had a touristy day on Wednesday - visiting Douglas on the bus.

Went on the tram up to the famous Laxey wheel and on to Snaefell. This is the highest peak, from which you can see all countries in the UK plus Ireland.

We could see the Mull of Galloway (where we plan to go next) and it looked very close ........but we can't get there!

We spotted Rolf Harris on the bus back. He had disguised himself by wearing an eye patch but we could see through it .......... although he couldn't!!!!

The evening was spent at the Peel sailing club. They were very friendly to us and we had a great time there with Andrew and the club members. We discovered that Peel is a place that people sail to but never leave. Tempting but I hope that we manage to get away at some point before September!

The weather forecast changes hourly - so we will see what tomorrow brings.
