Peel

Due to forecasts of impending bad weather we moved to Peel yesterday, in very calm conditions.

It is a beautiful harbour and town with an impressive castle.

Friendly people here; we spent an hour with one chap on his boat, helping us to check out our radio. When he needed a bit of wood as a wedge, he just cut some off his deck!

Cod and chips tasted great, although the food that we have eaten in the boat had been superb; thanks to Ann and Vanessa.

We are now sitting on the bus, heading off to Douglas for some sightseeing. The run up the hill to catch it did none of us any good!

The next week of weather looks grim, so the challenge now is to find a window to get to the mainland. Otherwise Paul and Rob have a long swim home!
