Week 2 - Thursday - Ailsa Craig

We are just passing Ailsa Craig on a very miserable, wet Scottish day. You can just about see the huge island in the photo.

Last night's excitement was watching 15 men trying to manoeuvre a huge barge out of the small Portpatrick harbour. It had been there for 5 weeks sinking piles for the lifeboat.

Strong winds forecast for tomorrow, so we are trying to get East Loch Tarbet tonight. No wind, so we have a 14 hour day on the motor, in constant drizzle. Lovely!

  1. This photo epitomises why you are not sailing round Britain with your wife!
